Bens Progress, maintenance !

Today was a big day for Ben in his journey to defeat Leukaemia as he started his 'maintenance' program. Its a big step forward for him as the relentless treatment he has recieved for the last ten months will now stop, to be replaced by a less intensive path. On sunday 18th October 2015 these two lovely ladies Kim and Claire showed what finely tuned athletes they are by running the Birmingham Half marathon. Like thousands of others they pounded the streets of englands second city joining competitors from all over the world. Dr Cowley eats his hat !

Due to an intensive block of treatment recently, Bens blood count has been a concern as its been very low. The result of this is that he is at high risk of a fever from infection, and this is especially common at this time of year. Bens consultant Dr Andrew Cowley, warned us that a admission into hospital was highly likely. Donation from the Rockettes

The ' Rockettes ' have been raising money for Macmillan cancer support for a number of years and have raised thousands! Being friends of Ben and his family they have very kindly decided to donate £240 of the money they have raised to help us in our efforts. The rockettes are Karen Sermon, Lorraine Pilgrim, Jo Martin, Shar Jones and Kim Williamson.
