Thankyou Coalbrookdale collective runners !

We were delighted and very grateful before Christmas to recieve the fantastic sum of £1228.00 from a group of Coalbrookdale school parents and friends. This is especially significant as it isn't the first time this bunch of great people have raised money in Bens name.

Earlier last year when Ben had not long been diagnosed with Leukaemia the 'Sunnisiders' as they were then known had taken part in Race for life, a multi terrain mud run around Weston Park in Shropshire. In doing so they raised the brilliant sum of £1200.00 which was donated to Birmingham Childrens hospital on Bens behalf. This money was added to the ongoing effort to fund a brand new hospital wing for oncology patients.

More recently the Coalbrookdale parents (Holly Rigby, Glyn & Vicky Thompson, Chris & Delia Whitworth, Graham Cartwright & Vicky Muggeridge) took part in the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 18th October 2015. A great day was had by all involved and some impressive times were recorded making all the training and effort worthwhile.

These friends have been a great support to Ben and his family during his illness and can be seen in the photo here at the presentation of the recent cheque for £1228.00at the Huntsman pub Little Wenlock, Bens local !

Thankyou everyone so much for doing this for Ben not once, but twice. A truly fantastic effort which you can all be very proud of :-)
